Hi everyone, (first post)

I will soon complete a purchase on the, Balcon de la Costa Blanca, San Miguel de Salinas. (as a non resident)

Can anyone, specifically on the Balcon, recommend a good Internet provider? (the previous owner had Vega Fibre, but have seen some bad reviews recently)

Also, any of your personal views on living/holidaying on the Balcon, pros and cons, would be very useful as I have yet to visit the Balcon.

Hi

Yes, there appears to be a number of Vega Fibre customers having trouble. IIRC, they were taken over by https://www.avatel.es/

When Avatel took over TVHoradada, they sent a badly worded email which caused some customers to mistakenly cancel their direct debits - maybe something similar has happened with Vega Fibre? I suggest you contact Avatel and ask if they can help

I vaguely know San Miguel, but I can't find anywhere called "balcon de la Costa Blanca" on Google maps. You will probably find that you need a car to get out and about easily, but there is a bus service to Torrevieja and La Zenia.

HI there, Balcon de la Costa Blanca is an "urbanización" housing estate or development, close to the town of San Miguel de Salinas.

Googled it and found plenty of adverts for properties for sale, from the builders, etc.

Hi. We are non residents with a house in Balcon Costa Blanca. We’ve had it 6 years and only last year got Fibre broadband installed by Vega Fibra. We use their pay-when-you’re-there plan meaning when you’re not there you don’t pay anything. You simply message them via their website when you know you’re going out, tell them when you’re arriving and when you are leaving, pay the rate they’ll show for that number of days (we were out recently for 5 weeks - 40€) and your broadband will be on when you arrive. We’ve not had any problems whatsoever. Enjoy San Miguel, we love it!
