We are waiting for ages for fingerprint, at the police? Our solicitor told us that they would make an appointment for us, but nothing happens. Has anybody experience about it, can we just go to the nearest Police station and do it?

Good morning,

My documents were submitted early July, I didn’t get my fingerprints taken until mid October, eventually collecting TIE two weeks ago.
It might have been slightly longer due to the summer holiday, but it’s  not been a quick process.

Ask the solicitor for an update, the appointments are released periodically and it seems that the legal professions have advantage over the public in securing a date.

Good luck

No, you can't just go to your nearest police station. It is a National Police or foreigners' office that you attend and it is part of the process where the fingerprints are attached to your application.
