What are the typical property selling fees for a resident on a private sale? Obviously what ever the solicitor charges plus 21% tax on any profit, but what other costs are there to bare in mind?
What should be the going rate for a solicitor to handle the sale?

Do you know how much a solicitor should charge for the sale? I think he was quoted by one between 2 - 2.5k. Does that sound right to you or excessive?

That would depend upon what exactly the 2.5K encompassed. If it’s just the abogado’s ‘personal’ fee for transacting the sale, then that does sound a lot, but if it includes land registry fees and the notario etc?
Our abogada’s ‘personal’ fee for handling our purchase, which was quite complicated, but excluding of course all the ancillary charges, was about 1K.
