Just read a post about learning languages and using google apps for instant conversion of your conversation to another language - how fantastic is that?!- and realised I am being left behind badly and could make life simpler for myself. However I am not technical in any way, hate reading manuals but can do person to person great when learning - I have other skills so am not a dummy by any means!

What I need, and probably so many others too, is lessons on my smart phone. Now I do realise there are so many different types that this poses problems of its own but - as I got here first! - does anyone know of a patient person who is good at explaining without it going into technical Japanese type stuff who would like to do this for a Samsung phone? Would be great for a small group (so I'm not the one asking all the stupid questions like where is the app shop) to get together for this with the right person. Might be the wrong time of the year as so many Brits will be going back for the summer but later in the year would be fine. What do you think?

It really is easy to install duolingo on your Samsung..  and it's so worth it!..

Just follow this...ok ready?

On your Samsung phone, unlock and swipe up so you can see all your apps, that's all the ones that include settings etc, not your front page.

Look for your play store app. Tap on it

Touch the top line and type in .. Duolingo

The little green frog thing should show up, or scroll down till you find him

Click on it.. click on install, watch it load...

When you want to start, just click on your duolingo app, it really is as easy as that... duling is awsome too..

Any problems, send me a message.

Have fun, bles

Hi Ellie,

Just to add....if incase you didn't know already.....you can connect your phone to wifi at home or at a bar etc and download what you want for free without using any data allowance you may have.

Again, in case you didn't already know, you will need a google account in order to download things from their 'appstore'.

If you get stuck with any of these steps, it is helpful to enter what you want to do i.e. 'how to create google account' or 'how to download apps from google' into YouTube so you can see video tutorials. Some are better than others but keep looking and you will find what you need.
