Does anyone know when the Chiringitos will be opening again . It’s ludicrous that the idiots in the council let them cease trading before arranging a new contact . How they can give a strip of sand with no facilities a blue flag award is beyond me . It’s such a shame . Surely the council must be accountable to someone. They have lost a massive amount of revenue , and lost numerous jobs as a result .

We must all agree the "idiots" in Orihuela city are only interested in milking the population of the costa for countless millions of euros. Cannot imagine the amount of corrupt money changed hands between the blue flag people and local government.  One day they will wake up, one day OC will become independent of the city. We can only hope.

There was already many posts on this subject several weeks back. OC have always been terrible in regard to the coast where most of their funds come from. There was talk of them opening up at the end of July and August for Spanish hoidays, but this year is the worst by far.

Sadly corruption has been an issue in the council for years and the coast has always been neglected.
