To complain in a foreign language is difficult.

Can anybody do a list of the right do's and don'ts in the process. Also, where the offices are located and who to see for assistance and what proof is required

Every shop or company must have complaints forms which they must give you if asked they can’t refuse it is the law make sure they stamp it then take it with your written complaint to your town hall ... The company’s or the shop don’t like giving the forms as they can be fined 2000 eur

Lesley/rose,

Thanks folks I am learning all the time.

Media Markt, after fooling me with a false complaint form eventually after a week gave me a proper one all stamped up and they kept a copy.

Thats when the fun starts. what to do with the form once you have it. FIRST fill it in in Spanish. Then I tracked the consumer office to the Torevieja town hall and after being given the wrong directions twice from a young man on the desk and a police man I evntually found the office behind the church. I waited for ever in there but eventually was able to submit my complaint form. The young lady stamped the form, spoke to another lady and handed me one copy and said "FINISH" to which I said what next. You wait for letter. OK but what is next and how long do I have to wait.

You can change your letter to Spanish on the translate app ...they told us to wait a couple of months and if we hadn’t heard from whom the complaint was against then go back to the town hall ...

That’s where we are at so not sure of any outcome

Might have to put it down to experience 😊
