Can anyone recommend: Flooring to cover over really dark terracotta tiles

Don't   put  Laminate  flooring  in  Kitchen or  Bathroom  area.  You will get plenty of  headache  if you do.  It  only  a tip. I  put them down  in my home country 

We’ve recently done our whole house ( except 2 remaining bedrooms which we’ll have done shortly) with the vinyl plank flooring called Artens from Leroy Merlin. Because it’s plastic there’s no expansion or contraction & won’t warp if you have a water leak. Also much warmer to walk on in the winter than tiles . We used a lovely Spanish man who was punctual , tidy and very reasonable We bought the flooring packs and he quoted & suppled the floor liner , skirting and divider bits between the doors or he can get everything for y. We installed the same flooring throughout our house and it is brilliant. We laid the floor ourselves and it was very quick and easy. Makes a tremendous difference.

Can I ask if you need to lay an underfloor to make sure the tile marks do not show through.

We didn't lay anything under the planks, they just stuck directly to the tiles on the floor. The adhesive works really well and we've had no 'lifting' of the planks.

Sorry I don’t know as the person laying the floor put it down and we didn’t question it but it’s very pleasant to walk on and very easy to clean.

Normally some kind of underlay is recommended , partly to baffle sound.
