Am returning to uk 1 Feb are there any pcr test centres with quick results in Santa Pola?

Rosalind,

the pre-travel covid test for returning to the UK only needs to be a antigen test, this is much less expensive than a PCR test. You do need to take a PCR test when you are back in the UK, the day 2 test, see attached link from Gov.UK for detailed advice:

Sorry, I don't know of any covid testing locations around Santa Pola but I am sure someone on here will advise.

Yes, you only need an antigen test pre departure to UK. We used this clinic a few times. Results back in a few hours. €29 https://www.policlinicadelriohortega.es/test-antigenos-santa-pola/

Hi. I agree with Macsmusic1. Only an antigen test needed. I have used this clinic many times over the past year. Brillant service. You can either book an appointment online although the last time I used them in December I didn't need an aooiontnent I just turned up and waited about 10 minutes. Results were emailed within 3 hours.

Hi Rosalind,

further to my post yesterday I saw in the UK press this morning that the UK government is considering dropping the requirement for a pre-travel test. The update should be announced this week. It may just be press talk but worth keeping an eye out for any changes.

Tests can be done at the policlinica in Almirante Antequera , just a few metres along from the castle or there is a place next to the movie star shop which is also just a short walk down from the castle toward the ferries.

Testing is also available in the departures area of the airport with megalabs
