We are hoping to finally get to enjoy our Santa Pola home after a year. We are a little confused how and where we go for tests 3 days prior to flying back to the UK. We understand the UK day 2, 5 and 8 after we have returned but not sure about the one before we fly back. We soooo want to come back to our little bit of paradise so any info about any of the rules etc greatly appreciated.

Enjoy your well earned time at your 2nd Home. We are travelling back to the Uk, you need an antigen test up to 3 days before you travel.

Hi Macsmusic1,

You need an Antigen test before leaving Spain, as well as pre-booking the Days 2 and 8 tests.  Also, from Friday, 2 July, you need a PCR test to enter Spain, OR proof that you have been double-vaccinated.

Kind regards,

Kim

For the moment , rules say antigen is ok to travel TO the UK.
You can have tests done at the airport in the departures terminal. Google eurofin mega labs.
There is nowhere in Santa Pola itself. You can use the IMED hospital in Elche or Alicante & there are a couple places in Alicante to go too.   Booking is strongly advised and allow a couple of hours at the airport for the results.  Take food & drinks while you wait !

You can also have these tests at either The Family doctors in Masa Square or The Salvum clinic in Gran Alacant which is a bit nearer to you.

Anyone know if this is covered by medical insurance? it might seem petty but I've had nothing for my 1100 euros so I might as well try to get a little bit back.
