Adding to this correct advice, you must remember to return to the breakers to collect the official document that the car has been scrapped, the document your given just covers the cash you received at the time as the vehicle changes hands.  The official document may be needed to get the road tax back you often get charged the following year.  🙄

Scrap yards don't normally pay you. Would you be willing to hand it over to us if it worth repairing?

Hiya. Definitely Bradley Breakers. We have scraped two cars with them, never had a problem. They collect, paperwork done on collection of the car, no having to go and collect some time later, money given. Great company 👍

Perhaps from your area, in Murcia region you are paid to scrap your vehicle, in fact I scrapped my old work van, there is a set price list given for vehicle make and model, my old van with two car batteries in the back netted me €200.00.

Being newer does not net you more money, the value is based on known vehicle weight.

I meant to add, I am a mechanic and have had a garage business here in Spain for many years, vehicles beyond economic repair end up in the scrap yard, it normally covers perhaps getting some road tax back, not a lot but certainly a little recompense.
