We had a couple of trays of soft drinks and a pair of sliders stolen off our back terrace a couple of months ago. It was not the monetary value that bothered me as much as the fact that someone had been on our property. I had felt really safe up until this point - we make sure the back gate is ke...

Sliders? What on earth are sliders???

Flip flops without the toe post - they were Boss ones but very old & split slightly at the sides. Not sure I would have chosen them to steal but someone obviously thought they could use them !!

Thieves naturally steal. I posted about it a while ago about a time when I was younger and used to live in a homeless hostel and the things people would steal are really stupid, one lad called Steven Birch stole a bike wheel. I asked him why he stole it because he didn't even have a bike or it wasn't the same as his bike (it was 20 years ago so can't remember fully) but he found a "justifiable" reason which I thought was bs.

We also used to get bored and put the worst things we could find out in public and see who would steal them, someone stole dirty and ripped cheap knickers. Literally they will steal anything and their answer is always "then why leave in full view?" Scumbags. Fortunately Spain's not as bad as the UK.

Hi Steve, yes I agree chop there feckin hands off!!!   Cheers for reply mike.

Chop chop square in Saudi on a Friday was the only entertainment we had in the old days, no TV or cinema, but now they are more holistic and remove hands in hospital, so thoughtful. Stonings in the remote villages now use a tipper truck with them burried up to the waist, if you kill you always die, no excuses.
