Hi all, for those who need some automotive assistance to return from a walk to La Marina, here is some information on the buses..!

The bus/coach company avanza (AKA Costa Azul) runs a bus from Alicante to Pilar de la Horadada & back which goes via Santa Pola and La Marina old village (not the urb:).

Attached is an example image of the timetable for a weekday this week but full info can be obtained easily from their web page and the link is below to the page for searching departure and destination and time ranges. It's easy to use, just type in your requirements into the boxes and it will come up with the times.

Hi all,

Did the beach walk last Thursday, the weather was beautiful and with it being (i think) a public holiday, there were lots of people about  enjoying the day. Unfortunately approx. 200m after we passed the fishmen and crossed the bridge our legs and arms got covered with inspects causing itchy red lumps to appear on our skin. We thought it best to turn back and head to a pharmacy to get some cream. So sadly we never got to have a meal in La Marina. We're not back over til April next year so will try again in the spring sunshine of 2019 to conquer the walk. Thanks again and enjoy the winter sun, Steven & Christine.
