Sporting activities in December and January

Hi,

We will visit Santa Pola once again in December and January and would like information about Sporting activities in the area. Mainly Tennis courts and gyms which would be open during this time. If there are any small golf courses, bowling places in the area also or any other activity which springs to mind along these lines! Any info or contact numbers, addresses, would be very useful!

Hi there David.

There aren't any golf courses, mini golfs or bowling alleys in Santa Pola.

There are quite a few gyms in Santa Pola, and one, Armony in Gran Alacant.

Some people in Gran Alacant play petanca, in the mornings in the park by the Gran Alacant church.

There are council fitness centres in both Santa Pola pueblo and Gran Alacant, covering a variety of sports. Called polideportivos, if you Google them you can get the details.

This area is great for walking and running, and has it's own marathon.

Hi Janice,

Many thanks for the info which was very useful, especially the 'polideportivos'.

Do you know if there are any 'public' tennis courts in the surrounding places as we will have a car while in Santa Pola and are happy to drive to play.
