Hi Guys,

Having moved here a few weeks ago it appears that My two palm trees have "Red Palm Weevil" residing. Does anyone know of who to use to treat the palms?

Thanks

Bill

Hi Bill

If you go to the Co-operativa in Sax and tell them what's happened, they'll be able to sell you something to kill the weevils. Make sure you coat the dead fronds with the solution the co-op give you before moving them otherwise you'll be spreading the problem around the garden.

I have been lucky enough to avoid these pests, but have seen the devastation caused sometimes ago in Sax.

If you have caught an infestation early on (& sometimes usually undetected) you may be lucky.

Hi,

Ended up getting the trees treated professionally which I think might save one of the palms.

I can get you details if you want.
