Hi Dave

We have recently purchased a holiday home in Sax. After finishing an extensive renovation of our home we are looking to relocate next January and have been over every month since January this year, we have  met a lot of expats based in Sax and have to say it is a very friendly town with a large expat community.

The shops in town are really extensive from everyday supermarkets to dress alterations, bakers, butchers, Iron mongers, pet shop, furniture store, electrical appliances, and even a kitchen showroom as well.

The market on a Monday has a great range of locally grown fruit & Veg. and leather goods and everyday items.

I'm not sure if there is a vet in town but I would think the neighbouring towns of Villena, Peter, and Elda will have a surgery.

Sax has a great range of bars and restaurants as well with a big cafe culture as you would epect in Spain. We can't wait to move full time and enjoy the laid back lifestyle.Good luck with your house hunting and relocation.

Hi Dave

I took my dog to the vets in sax and they are highly recommended. ...its camisax  (see the blue cross sign outside) and they are located on the main road between the red cross depot and the hotel.

Hope this helps and good luck.

I too will be moving over more permanently from September so any advice or tips are priceless.

HI Dave

Sax has a second hand store just up the road from Victoria's bar it has a good selection  of furniture along with new sofas and beds.

There is also a furniture shop just down fro the Sax Kebab shop with beds ans sofas as well.

Pinoso has a second hand store as well.

Try Sax buying and selling on Facebook and Pinoso buying and selling as well
