Hi

Just bought an apartment in the El Mirador complex and I could do with a contact of an existing resident.

I'm trying to line tradesman up for when we come out in Sept., and I'm being asked questions like "what sort of ceilings have you got" and when we viewed the property on two occasions other than satisfying myself that the ceilings are in good order, I didn't think to test how they were put together.

On the basis that as I put work out to tender that they'll be more of those types of questions it would be good to talk to someone living in one of those apartments.

Hi Tim

What type of work are you needing to be done? This forum has a few good folk on for you to contact about works.

If you let us know some more specifics then perhaps I / We could assist?

Thanks

Hi, thanks for the contact.

I've another post running on this forum asking for tradesman recommendations and I'm pleased to say we're now spoilt for choice!

Hi Patti

Thank you so much for getting in touch, it's great have a contact who is a resident.

We've (Sarah and Tim) have bought No. 22 and ahead of us coming out in late Sept. I'm trying to line up tradesmen to install (for example) ceiling fans. I'm being asked what the ceilings are made of as that dictates the brackets that will be needed. They'll be many other questions, such as where the stop cock is located etc.

Are there any resident "rules", and it's interesting that you've been on El Mirador since 2006 as we don't think that No. 22 has ever been occupied?

Any information would be welcome!
