Now DBS. Used by many employers, for example, to ensure employees/potential employees do not have criminal convictions. Compulsory for certain “environments”; working with children, vulnerable adults. Now also required as part of the NLV process 🤪🥂

Correct. As an EU citizen your application won't require a criminal check.
But be aware that a passport scan at UK and Spanish airports opens up a lot of information on an individual for Border control/police.
And typing in all caps is illegal in Spain too, the fine is 90€ by the internet police 😎
