Can anyone recommend: Cheap runaround car

Looking for a cheap runaround as I will be back and forth to UK. I'm astonished at the price of second hand cars.
Cars last much longer here mainly because the words rust and corrosion are not in the Spanish dictionary! You'll see many 20 or 25 year+ examples without a spot of corrosion on them.
When you add to that that the Spanish do not feel the need to buy new cars every 2/3/4 years and do not judge their friends of neighbours by the cars they drive you begin to understand why cars hold their values here far far longer than you're used to in UK.
Aimed at nobody in particular I can never resist a wry smile when I read comments about 2nd hand car prices while at the same time I've never heard anyone complain about paying (comparatively) astonishingly cheap prices for a property in Spain.

Very nicely put, Darro. I remember one time when I was visiting my brother in Newbury, Berks. and the first question a friend of his asked me was "what car do you drive out there?".
Not even worth answering, but if I did I would have explained it like you did here.

Hi Just changed cars and have a cmax ford focus for sale. 1 years ticket (until July 2024), diesel old but working fine, reason for sale; drive to Sweden regularly and now need a green sticker to pass through the various countries and cities.
