Hi, I am seriously contemplating coming to Spain full time. I have a home in Spain and I have an income from a company pension. Can anyone tell me the current situation regarding obtaining residency.... I think I need to progress with this asap or I may miss out on retirement in Spain altogether. Any thoughts please. I will require health insurance too as I'm under U.K. retirement age.

You can, obviously, only apply for residencia once you become resident here. If you can prove you've enough income to live on, and that you have private health insurance or are paying into the Valencian health system (often cheaper than private, depending on your age), then there won't be a problem.
The only proviso I'd make is that you should do it before the UK leaves the EU, as nobody knows what changes that will bring.
