To be pedantic for a minute...is it "EU member state", or is it " has adopted the European currency"? My head aches...

Cheers

Steve

Hi Steve,

Both! ;o)  Lithuania joined the EU in 2004 and adopted the € in 2015.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hungary, Sweden and others are EU, but have not adopted the Euro currency?

As I said, maybe a bit pedantic, but will matter to some. Including my lost friend Atilla! Guess where he's from!

Cheers

When the UK was in the EU, it didn't adopt the €, but I don't understand the relevance to Bubsy's query?  Never mind, he has the correct answer and he's happy.

Kind regards,

Kim

Yeah, my response was not directly relevant to Bubsy query.

I'm just being a bit geeky! If I was in Sweden, would I be able to pay direct debits from an account in eg Spain?

Scratches head!

Cheers

Hi Steve,

In principle, I don´t see why not, but I think my next question would be, how much is my Spanish bank going to charge me for the privilege?!

Kind regards,

Kim
