I've got a couple of old 20 pound notes that went out of circulation last September. Does anyone know if any of the currency exchange places accept them.

I've also got 12000 Yemeni Rials that I couldn't change in Dubai airport, they told me to go into town to change them.

Cheers

Mike

Hello Mike

My bank wouldn't accept old £20 notes after the end of Sept, they said  that they  wouldn't be reimbursed after that date- I was 24hrs too late!

I gave them to a friend who was visiting La Marina, he gave me euros & paid my notes into the post office when he returned to the UK in Oct, not sure whether they still take them

Cheers

You can still lodge them into a bank account through the post office they cannot be swapped for replacement notes
