Help required please!

We have arrived at our apartment to find our Saba tv will not operate with the remote control.  It was fine last time we were here but having changed the batteries it still will not work.  We have bought two different universal remotes but it still won’t work.   Each one said no set up needed just put batteries in and away you go, I wish!

We have pressed buttons on the tv as per manual and the tv comes on so we know it works.  We are not tech savvy so don’t know what else to do🙈

Does anyone know a of a basic tv repair person around Torre La Mata area who may be able to help please?

Thank you

A

Most universal remotes I know of need to be programmed with a code (usually found in very small print in the user manual) to tell it which remote it is replacing, and thus which infrared signals to send.

If not programmed it cannot know what device make or model it is trying to work.

We went to Media Markt with the tv name & brand and they gave us 2 or 3 choices...

Followed the instructions and functions fine...

Not all television sets, cds, radios, vcrs, etc were suitable... That is why we asked...

Thank you for your response.  I think there is a Media Markt at La Zenia Boulevard in Torrevieja.  We will try them.
