I recently had a problem with Whatsapp in that it stopped working........kept getting messages from Orange saying my tariff wasn't compatible.  Went online and discovered another forum where people were complaining about the  same problem happening the same time as mine  3rd of December 2019 and it wasn't confined to Spain. I bought my mobile phone from Orange and the guy in the shop set up whatsapp for me.  However, now when I try to call via Whatsapp it doesn't work and I get a message saying it is because I have no internet connection....which I do.  Then I get another message again telling me my tariff is not compatible.  I constantly have to reboot my phone in order for it to work.  Even after I successfully make a call I still get another message......it is driving me mad.  The staff in the Orange shop were no help, just wanted me to buy a more expensive phone.  I have been using Whatsapp on my phone everyday for 18 months with no problem until the 3rd  December.  I often miss calls because the phone doesn't ring every time I get a call.  Has anyone else experienced these problems.

Have you tried updating WhatsApp on Google play/appstore. This worked for me. My problem was before Dec. 3rd.

Latest update was just 2 days ago but I'd be surprised if it were the actual problem.

Thank you, that is why the guy in the Orange shop told me I should buy a more expensive phone as he thought mine was old....only 18 months......but then we live in the throw away age.  I only use the phone for Whatsapp but even so I still manage to use up my credit (PAYG).

Whatsapp will disappear from any mobile phones that are 10yrs old or more from Feb 2020 - spotted this on Martin Lewis's Forum today!
