Annie, Would I be able to get a pass? I have a Holiday apartment in La Mata and mostly travel by bus.

Hello

Afraid not,  Torrevieja Bus Cards are for residents only.

Cheers

The bus pass is actually a citizens’ card so is only available for residents who are on the padrón.

Hello

The general fare is €1.55.  You can buy a card from a driver, top it up with €10/20  and it reduces as you travel making your fare about €1.35 - I think. I'm not an expert as I get free travel but several people on here use the discounted card & hopefully can explain more to you on the subject

The Tarjeta Bus, bought from bus station or from driver, reduces the fare from €1.55 to 80cent, though for some reason last friday fares were only 60cent. The card itself costs €2 and €20 initially and can be topped-up by €10 or €20, when needed

Thank you for replying

We use the D/F from el paraiso. Haven't used it since last year. Just curious what the fares are this year

For some reason, all my bus fares in Feb, on Tarjeta Bus, are only costing 60cent, maybe because of Torrevieja Carnival, which started on Jan 26th and ongoing till 26th Feb

If you look at the spanishnewstoday.com website you will see an article about fares being cut by 50% until the 31st July.  And of course we no longer need to be wearing face masks as of this week (unless you want to of course) on public transport.
