If you go to the hospital or medical center where you were issued your SIP card you can get an appointment for your booster shot immediately. I was there on Monday and they offered me an appointment for today, Wednesday but as I had a previous meeting planned, I asked for the appointment to be Thursday and they agreed. Point to note, the booster jab is not at the same location that you got your first two jabs. Had been waiting for two months to hear about the booster jab and had no idea that all you need do is visit the center where you got your SIP.

Hi Sandra,

I would imagine you will get your booster quite soon, I am in the same age group and received a text message at the weekend...... Went along yesterday (Monday 13th) and got the jab.

I am in Elda so it might be dependent on your local health centre, maybe you could pop along and ask them ?

Have you got the GVASalut app ?  I did notice recently that you can book an appointment on that, (I used it to book a flu jab a couple of weeks ago)

Incidentally ... I also used the app earlier today to download an updated copy of the "Covid EU Digital Certificate" and I was pleased to see that it now shows vaccination status of 3/3

Regards

Gary

Hi Gary

How did you make your booster appointment on the GVA Salut app, I can’t see the facility to do so

Hi Lynn,

After you have logged into the app, click on "Solicitar Nueva Cita"  (Request New Appointment).

You will then see a list of the types of appointments you can choose from in addition to your own GP, for example "Flu" "Flu + Moderna" , "Janssen for over 60's" etc etc.

Just select which one you want and you will see dates/times available. Click to secure appointment.

Please note though, different health Centres/Area's may not all be the same.

Regards

Gary

Not so lucky, we’re not able to make appointments this way in Guardamar, but thank you it  was worth a try.

There is a walk in at la Zenia, in front of leroy merlin on 18th from 10am no appointments required, if that helps.

Not for boosters unfortunately. There does not seem to be much reaction by Spain to the Omicron variant.

My worry is those who want to travel outside Spain may not be considered fully vaccinated unless we have had our booster.
