Forgot to say. Each testingforall test has a unique ID.  I think the results are forwarded to appropriate govt agency. You receive the results via email and no need to do anything else - assuming its negative. I assume the same for other providers.

Test in Spain has to be within 3 days of return. Our results last month came same day. You show check in staff the email result and the booking for the UK test....

Don't forgey the passenger location form. A number of people were trying to fill in theirs at the airport with difficulties.  Not sure if they made the flight.

I’ve just filled in the form, then two days before I fly they allow access to the second part of the form. Hopefully it’ll be straight forward enough. Usually we dont go to the check in desks when flying as we just press our phones onto the barrier screens to go through ti departures. I’m presuming that’s all changed now if we are to show our proof of vaccinations etc?

We normally do that but we're taking advantage of the change in baggage rules and using the free hold bags to take items not allowed in hand luggage - bought tbe tickets last year.

They do the checks at the check in desk and for those like you who who go straight through they check at the boarding gate. Makes passing through the destination airport quicker but now that UK passports must be stamped it does take a little longer at the Spanish end.

Hi, I’m flying to la Mata in two weeks and am looking for somewhere to buy the antigen test. What I don’t  understand is that someone said I need to do it two days before leaving Spain then again a few days later once I’m home in the Uk. Does that mean I have to find somewhere in the U...

...k to do the second test or does it come supplied with the first test? Are the results emailed to me? How do I get the results and do I have to report the results to anyone? Sorry for all the questions lol.

You need to arrange a day 2 test before you go to Spain , they give you a number that you need to put on the Spanish health form , we are going to our Spanish home in September for 2 months if you search for tests to return you get a whole list of companies that supply the test it is actually delivered when you get back to the uk

We bought the tickets last year when the old baggage rules were applicable.   The September flight will be the last free hold luggage flight. From now on it will be paid but we can manage with a small bag.

We want to take the dog and stay for 3 months in January. So won't be going again until then because of the 90/180 day rule and will drive.

I never book the UK tests before leaving here.  Earlier may be better now if more people are travelling as test companies have limited capacity.

We went last month and the Spanish form didn't ask for details of the UK tests just confirmation of being double jabbed. Is that a new requirement.

I’ve been moving these flights since march 2020 as we went into lockdown the week before we were due to fly. That 90 day rule is crap isn’t it. It’ll be nice to have a holiday with your dogs though won’t it 👍

I’ve tried to book the day 2 test with testing for all but they’ve not available on the day I return. I’ve made a mistake of reading all the horror story reviews on google for other companies 🤦‍♀️

Hi 20kiki,

I assume your granddaugter is not vaccinated, so:

To enter Spain, an Amber-listed country, she will need to complete the Spanish Health Form and provide a negative Covid-19 test:

https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/spain/entry-requirements

To enter Scotland, she will need to take an Antigen test no more than 72 hours before her departure time from Spain.  She will need to complete the UK´s Passenger Locator Form and pre-book a Day 2 and a Day 8 PCR test for when she arrives back in Scotland.  The reference number for these tests needs to be added to the Passenger Locator Form before she leaves Spain.  As she´s a child, she does not need to self-isolate on her return to Scotland.

https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-international-travel-quarantine/pages/red-amber-and-green-list-countries/

All details included in the links above.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Katymay,

I assume you´re double vaccinated?  If so, you need a negative Antigen test no more than 72 hours before your departure time from Spain and you need to pre-book the Day 2 PCR test that you must take once you return to the UK - you have to pre-book this second test because you have to add the reference number onto your Passenger Locator Form before you fly.

Kind regards,

Kim
