I believe Noreen was only enquiring about the possibility of travel at the end of March (not immediately) and obviously only intends to do so when restrictions are lifted so no need for the “stay home “ orders.

Exactly.

There is no possibility of travel from Ireland until at least May . The RTE news states this on a daily basis so I don't understand why travel at the end of March would be mentioned

I believe that Spain is closed to anyone except residents until, I think, the 12th April at least.   Also the Valencian Community border is closed as well as some town borders.   If you have a look at the N332 Facebook page you will find the up to date rules and regulations in respect of the virus.

Hi,

Santa Pola Gal was only stating the facts as they are . I see no problem with that . Ireland has a serious problem with Covid infections so the less travel the better for everyone

Sorry, she wasn't stating - she was shouting. Not acceptable. She can convey her message more politely and with more patience

Dear Noreen I was saddened to see some of the responses you received.  The best advise given is to check the N332 Facebook site lots of information & people are helpful.  You can post a question & get a response.  Also check your gov website for foreign travel.

Don't be put off by some of the responses just ignore them.

Although I have been using computers for many years it was not until quite recently that I found out that putting words into capitals meant that you were shouting at someone.   Not everyone knows about this UNWRITTEN rule of thumb!   It is quite easy to tell someone about it without enhancing it.

Don't want to add fuel to the fire as Noreen was just looking for some advice but I am also in Ireland and want to travel by ferry to Bilbao and on to Torrevieja. My situation may be a little different in that I will be travelling alone and have already had covid (and no it is not nice) but my understanding is that I am in the same position for 6 months as those who have had a vaccine with the fact that I have built up immunity although the verdict around being a carrier is still in question. The reason for my travel is that I am trying to close the sale of a property which I have tried to close virtually but I am meeting obstacles and need to visit to get the sale completed. Is that allowed.

There is no restriction on travelling from Ireland but you do require a negative PCR test to enter Spain . Brittany Ferries have suspended all sailings from Ireland until further notice .Good luck with the house sale
