Spain are administering the vaccines received ; very efficiently too. Explain what you mean by “diverging” please.

He said ... diverd, in his first comment . I think he meant dithered ! Who knows . I don’t think he does himself . What connection Brexit has ,  to the NHS delivering the vaccine programme effectively , I’m have no idea. We had complete sovereignty before and could have done exactly the same with it without Brexit, The EU has never had a say in how the NHS operates.

I am not sure what the poster meant but rather than guess I'll let him answer himself.

The reference to Brexit is quite clear and I am sure you understand, it is that the UK can now go it's own way and make decisions without having to consider EU bureaucracy. The EU insisted that all member states purchased their vaccines through it's own centralised purchasing scheme. The incompetence of this scheme is what has led to the shambolic rollout of vaccines across Europe.

The EU never had direct control of German, French, Spanish or any other health service but they have managed to put them all far behind in the vaccination roll-out.

The fact that the UK have now started vaccinating under 40's in some areas whilst everyone over 50 who wanted vaccinated have had both doses shows how successful the UK government have been.

I think you’re completely wrong - if I can even understand your post. The vaccination programme in Spain is going really well. Maybe check out some accurate statistics before making such negative comments.

Got my temporary SIP last week and I have had a text with COVID appointment tomorrow and an appointment for 2nd dose I am 66 in Ontinyent No complaints whatsoever

Let’s be honest here the NHS rollout in UK has been fantastic but that’s because the NHS has organised it It’s the only thing the UK government has got right so far letting those that know what they are doing get on with it

The rollout of the vaccination programme had nothing to do with Brexit

It success is totally down to superb organisation at local level by the NHS

Everything central government got involved with ended in disasters and u turns,  mis information and outright lies

Not one of us should gloat, no one's safe until everyone is safe, whether in the UK, EU or worldwide

The local elections and the by election just confirms that England at least is going to hell in a hand cart, and thank God I'm over here and well out of it

The UK government coordinated the vaccine process from procurement, through distribution to vaccinations being given. The armed forces ran the distribution process and the NHS ran the vaccination program. Nothing to do with Brexit just good planning, purchasing and organisation by the UK.

The government made many mistakes last year but they should be given credit for getting things right this year.

Your right that it needs everyone to be vaccinated before we can get back to a more normal life.
