I think what Darro was checking is to ensure that your current driving licence was not issued in GB (England, Scotland and Wales) or NI (Northern Ireland). The UK consists of England Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland. Driving licenses issued in GB or NI cannot be exchanged in the EU following the UK's withdrawal from it.  Many people living in the UK have Irish Passports especially in NI (me being one of them) but the over-riding factor is the driving licence country of issue.

Oh I know I wasn't been smart ,I really appreciate him taking the time to answer me .I appreciate all the help I can get ,always worrying of getting the wrong appointment as has happened in the past and it causes a lot of problems.

I didn't think you were being smart. I just wanted to clarify the requirements. Quite a number of folk get GB and UK confused!
