Can anyone please advise on the procedure of importing a car (personally owned) from France to Spain please. The car is French registered and I want to use it in Spain permanently. Many thanks

Within 6 months after registering as a resident and having a NIE you ca bring a vehicle exempted from duties and taxes. If you have a COC paperwork is easy and costs are affordable (some 200,-).

Thank you for that. I have an NIE but am not resident, that presumably makes a difference to the cost?

AFAIK You can't import a vehicle as a non resident but can continue to drive it for 6 months, if legal in your country of residence.

Hi, I did this in August this year, contact Car Registrations Spain ( www.car-registrations-Spain.com ) they will give you a quote and do everything for you. Highly recommended
