Hi

In April we’re travelling to our place in Spain via the ferry to Santander. We are staying for about 3 weeks before travelling home via Caen following a stay in France.

It’s a journey we’ve made both ways on many occasions crossing the border at Perpignan. We haven’t been that way since the start of Covid and Brexit and have previously sailed through without stopping. Has anyone made this trip and if so do we now have to stop to show passports and or vaccination documents or are we covered as we’re travelling between countries inside the Schengen  area?

Thanks in advance

Jez

The border crossing is just a drive thru,no checks, you’re in the Schengen Zone. All the checks are done as you enter France.Crossed into France 5/1/22 and was a very thorough check by French Douaner.

Hi thanks for the reply. We’ve travelled to and from France from the uk in November and the checks were no probs.

It was the crossing inside Schengen that concerned me as a resident of a third country so thanks for the reassurance.
