I do hope you get it sorted one way or another.

I am resident here in Spain and luckily not had any problems with my passport. I hand them my resident card(TIE) at the same time and never been stamped which also might cause problems if it is.

Do let us know if you get any response from any officials.

...imagine by now it's all in place.

We came out end of Sept. to sort house out after flooding. Owned a house here for 28 years . Never been resident. Never overstayed. Played by the rules. Our passports were stamped on arrival.

To ensure that we can't be accused of being "overstayers" I intend to ask that they are stamped on the way back to UK.

Thanks unfortunately I think I’ve exhausted all channels and to date no officials Spanish or British are willing to address the situation. The only thing I can do is wait till April 22 and hope the marks on the stamp put on my passport signify a refused entry thereby restarting the time period.
