Hi folks anyone considering flying from the UK/Northern Ireland early September

word on the grapevine is another lockdown is imminent. I’d like to fly out to check my holiday home but I’m afraid I’ll not get back to the UK before this happens

opinions please

Hi Conker77,

You may be talking about some fake news, reported in a local freebie newspaper, Euro Weekly.  Spain's health minister denied the story and Euro Weekly had to withdraw it.

Spain does have its hotspots of infection, which the regional governments are managing, and although infection rates have been increasing lately, the Valencian regional government appears to be on top of things.  That said, none of us can predict with any certainty what's going to happen in the future - which makes the Euro Weekly's published date of 18th September for the new lockdown completely ridiculous and why they had to retract it.  You just need to keep your eye on developments and see what things are looking like nearer the time.

Stay safe,

Kim

Things change quickly but no official word of another lock down, regions can introduce local restrictions should the need arise if cases increase but realistically it is safe to come to Spain but remember you will have to quarantine for 14 days on your return to Northern Ireland.
