I am looking to add a heat pump to my 8x4m pool.

Any advise?

I can get one from England for just over £1000.

Do you know anyone to fit it?

Thanks for any feedback

Phil

That sounds like a good price.

For comparisons, look at:

https://grupopoolplus.com/en/3095-Bombas-de-Calor

Make sure to check the power needed to run the heat pump, as you may need to increase the potencia of your electricity supply.

Does bombard de cal or mean its gas or is this just the make?

Bomba de calor just means heat pump, like an aircon unit.

Calentador electrico means it's electrical heating, like an immersion heater, so ignore those.

Hi,

Is your pool covered ?

If it is then you can extend the season by a couple of months, however you have the issue of removing the cover every time you want to swim.

if not it will only extend the swimming season (depending on how warm you want to swim in the pool) by a few weeks at most.

I understand I will need a pool cover for night.

Hoping to extend the season form May to October

I appreciate there is an expense in putting it in. Pump plus fitting. And pool cover 👍

But after this, is it not just electricity for the 2-4 months of use?

Or am I missing something 🤔

I don't think you will extend the season by that much.

You don't need a heater from May til end Sept/October.

You will probably get to the end of October beginning November. After that you're just putting electricity into the air.

I have got a heater and it works but not worth the extra costs for the short extension and you soon get fed up pulling the cover on and off.

I think thats a good idea !

Also remember it much harder to heat it up in May than it is to keep it warm in September/October.
