I am unsure how you missed the DDM since those are between the company and the bank.

However if you have the bill I would have thought that you could pay it in the office of the company concerned.

For information, my bill for December was €420. You should be lucky!

Every invoice MUST contain clear payment information - not direct debit ONLY.

Hi Mrsgbag,

On the second page of your bill, there should be a section called "Informacion Adicional".  If you look down the list, there will be the distribution company's name ("Empresa distribuidora") and, below that,  your supply contract number and bank details for payment.

I've attached a photo of the details from my latest bill.  The form of payment  ("Forma de pago") shows "Domiciliacion Bancaria", which means Direct Debit, and the last item, "Código de mandato", is the DD mandate reference.  If you have a DD set up to pay your bill, your mandate reference will be listed there.  You can pay your bill at the bank, so if there's no DD set up, it would make sense to set that up while you’re there, assuming that your landlord is happy for payments to be sent from your bank account, rather than hers - if it isn't specified in your rental contract, you need to agree that with her.

Kind regards,

Kim
