Hi, has anyone else has had to wait 6 weeks for a certificate from the town Hall , that’s what I’m waiting for the vendors solicitor to obtain to complete the sale of a bungalow I’m waiting to purchase. Apparently it had a problem of the size of the build ( even they are all the same original size from 30 years ago) or could it be another problem? Thank you.

You should request all relative information from the vendor and find out yourself about the problem(s) at the town hall (most probably "Urbanismo"). Or have a Notary Public set up a "Requerimiento Notarial" (notarial notification) requiring the vendor to either produce a certain document(s) within a given time (10 days) or face all financial coinsequences. Dont loose any time  just waiting. I wonder about the inactivity of your solicitor.

I’m not in Spain so that’s not helping , and all I keep getting told is that it’s normal to wait 6/8 weeks for this certificate ? Really expected the sale to have finalised mid May at the least , once again extremely helpfull , thank you .

Thanks for your feedback. 6-8 weeks or whatever - you can't rely. Spain is different, believe me, in any way. OK, I keep my fingers crossed. Good luck.
