Disabled Access

If you are unfortunate enough to be in a wheelchair or find walking a problem (in particular stairs) then don't even think about visiting Torrevieja for lunch, dinner or just a drink. If you need to use the toilets then it's nigh on impossible to find any that aren't either upstairs, downstairs or have disabled access of any kind. In my naivety I always thought disabled access was required by law. Unfortunately this isn't the case and should be considered if you are disabled and think you can have a nice stroll along the seafront followed by lunch in Torrevieja. Just don't go it's a disgrace.

Hi Rhonda my husband is a manual wheelchair user and as you state disabled access is a nightmare at times. He uses the disabled toilet in Servents ice cream parlor at front next to Aligne restaurant which he finds easy to use.Hope this helps for future visits.

Thank you very much for your reply. We recently visited Playa del Cura at the other end of Torrevieja, which seems to be the worst for disabled access.

Hi,

I have a disabled son so I share your frustration.

We found the Amber brewery near playa Los locos very accessible and the food and ambience were both very lovely.
