Not too far away.  You'll be near the Carrefour supermarket and I'm near the marina and port.

You'll love Torrevieja!  It has something for everyone!

Nessy

Yes, unfortunately I'm stuck in the UK too.  Hopefully we'll all be able to get across soon and see a wee bit of sunshine.

Nessy

Hi Linda,

Fortunately I'm not stuck in England as I've lived here for 17 years.

Just send me a PM when you get here and we can meet up. :)

We are in the process of buying a small flat in the Acequion area. Hoping we made a good choice. Maybe catch up some time.

Yes, that'd be great!  I think you've made a great choice.  There's just so many shops and restaurants on your doorstep, it's well served for bus services (and the bus station is quite close - even closer when the new one gets built across from the Carrefour).  I'm back across at the end of the month and then mid-September.  I might squeeze a wee trip in-between too if I'm lucky.

Great will be on Calle Rafal if it all goes through ok. We liked that there was a supermarket and bars very close and that the beach was at the end of the road.

Bus seems to be handy too as we took a trip in from centre of Torrevieja one night to check out the area.

We are hoping to pick up keys end of May and have booked ten days out then.

I'd love to!  I tend to leave my apartment for family to use in the hottest months though.  They all love the really high temps.  Not for me.  I love May and June and October too - especially with some really interesting severe weather events.  I also love to nip across on my rest days from work over the winter - December, February and March.  You can get really cheap flights and car hire and it's great to see some winter sun at the most bleak time of the year back home.
