Just an update on this post. We are in Calle Rafal and have now been out a few times. We love the area, enough nice bars and restaurants to keep us happy, beach at the end of the road, Supermarket, Chinese shop and Ferreterria all nearby, good bus service in either direction and only a 15 minute walk into Torrevieja.
Suits us really well.
Back out in September and we can't wait.

We are out in Sept too. Around corner in Avde de Pinoso. Arrive 2nd for 3 weeks.

We are 7th till 18th. Could maybe meet for a drink it will just be my wife and myself.

Never ever been to that one. As a restaurant it gets very mixed reviews. Keep in touch if you are OK with OAPs man and wife too.

Ha Ha we are nearly there ourselves. We have two oap friends who are using our apartment just now.

My wife would be suspicious of meeting someone off the forum would be better if it was a by chance encounter. Bump into English folks and start chatting is how we usually meet friends.
