If you had a son with a disability would you not have done the same,I know most caring fathers would have. Can I suggest you do a little more research before you criticise anyone ,I am not into politics but I have sympathy for this guy.

Totally agree any parent does what’s best for his family.did he endanger people’s lives did he go to a party did he go to a park did he go to a beach did he spit in someones face no. Annoys me people after one man but don’t shout from the tree tops demanding action for those who have committed the above. It’s just a vendetta against one man who got Brexit Done and The Conservatives in power Give it a rest.

The disability doesn't exist was the last information I saw.
In any case, my middle son was diagnosed with ADHD many years ago, and Autism was not ruled out entirely. From my experience and the advice given was kids with these problems do not like change, they like familiar places, people and routines. That parents would have their emergency bolthole for this boy at a distance of 250 miles away is bloody awful parenting. Couple that with his wife's records contradicting his version of events and you have to say that someone is lying.
What ever way you look at it, Cummings actions were idiotic. No need for all the lies and deception, he could have owned up and there would have been much less fuss.

Have to agree about lies and truth he is in the wrong but Thousands up on thousands have Done worse but know one demands the Law prosecutes them . I don’t personally know him so cannot see why politicians and press hate him actually praise him for restraining when the press were outside in his face because I personally would have smacked one or two including the women.act like animals treat them like animals.

But the others are not involved in making the rules are they? That he was part of that process makes his error more significant in my view. If you don't see that, well, that's up to you. His story doesn't tally with that of his wife, he took his kid out to "test his eyes". Some caring parent there.

He doesnt deserve yours or anyone else's sympathy.
He hides behind the protection of The Prime Minister of Great Britain.
He holds an undeserved privilage.
Most of the General public agree , or are they all wrong and incapable of sympathy ?
He should have been given his P45. Hopefully that will come ,eventually

Agree Les should have been sacked and the three Labour MPs who went to holiday homes and parties should have been sacked and all the celebs as well but they wasn’t.because he’s disliked by the political bubble and press.public looking for easy target. Because he’s not like the rest.not the first to make rules and break them.sorry just think he is easy target.

An insult? Get a grip. The suggestion was the need to read a variety of reports and thoughts before jumping in with a conclusion. It not a school thing, it's read more listen more and then decide. My view on Mr Cummings is not based on a just a Daily Mail view ( for example).
Finally, regarding insults. It's ok for the poster to say the Prime Minister ( or other politicians of any pursuasion) hasn't a clue, or is an idiot etc. and not expect a comment? I think not.

Yes parents do do what's best for their family, that's why all those with small children who became ill stayed home as advised.
Did he put others at risk, absolutely. He drove 260mls whilst he and his wife were suspected of having Covid-19; did he stop at a services on route? who knows he didn't say. He drove his sick wife and child to hospital whilst infected; did he call an ambulance as he should have? No he drove there whilst they were noth infected. He took a trip to Barnard Castle whilst still infectious, and with impaired vision. Did he socially distance; he says he did?
But ask yourself this, why did he go there in the first place? The Cummings have more than one relative within 3mls of their home. No parent drives 260mls in an emergency when there's help on their doorstep.
There's a lot more to this story than we've heard so far. Let's hope the papers keep investigating and the truth eventually comes out.
