Hi Rob, if you look at the Klarstein website you can appraise them yourself, I have only installed the mirror panels in the bathroom, so cannot say if they are economical or not. One advantage which could sway you is that they are silent.

Regards, Keith

Thanks Keith

Really appreciated, I'll have a look at their info.

Cheers👍

I run an electrical business and installed infra red heating in our office as a trial. What we established was that it heated the person in the space but did not heat up the area. We found it to be uncomfortable as in the individual may feel warm but all the surfaces touched were cold

Hi John, you are absolutely correct, I worked in a factory with infrared overhead heating, some objects were slightly warmed by the infrared organic material more so I found it quite conducive for working manually. I live in a east facing apartment 1 bed with air con, which is not ideally situated, I find uncomfortable when it starts as it blows cold, the draught and noise which isn't loud but still annoyingly unpleasant, makes me inclined to buy another heating panel. Infrared is the closest thing to being warmed by the sun after all.

Subjectively yours,

Keith

Hi Keith, agreed with your comments, our findings was that infra red heating is economical but does not create a comfortable environment, our experience was that you feel heat on you but the surrounding air and surfaces were cold, not nice

Hi John, I think it's a case of swings and roundabouts, personally I find keeping the body warm is preferable to heating the air, which can cause problems with damp, mould etc. I brought from England an infrared heater which I can't remember the name of, tool manufacturer or something and used it last winter in a large living room, we were not uncomfortable and at 900 watts on full power would keep us content sitting watching TV.

Regards, Keith

Hi Keith, got it, all about your own experience, I hope infra red takes off as it’s very economical and directs heat to where it’s needed
