Good evening to one and all...

For the lovely people who may have been following my tryst with 'The Bank'...It has now been announced via their app, that SMS services will CEASE!

For the dumbest people, like me, THIS is the 'mobile telephone' service that they use to send you your passcode to gain entry to your 'online' account!

Is it me...Or is it THEM?

I'm going to emigrate somewhere nice, where they don't have banks...I give up!🤔🤡😅🅱️.

Now if you have a smart phone you need to log in with your finger print id or facial id

That is not correct, using finger print of facial recognition is an option, you can always refuse to use this method and revert to pin code instead

There will be an option to deselect this somewhere in your settings. What happens if your fingerprint is not recognised, are you then asked to use your pin code instead?

Hi Bryan,

I saw an article about German banks stopping the use of SMS for one-time password verification. The reason for this is because of legislation that the EU passed in 2015, set to enter into effect on September 14, this year requiring banks use strong customer authentication (SCA) mechanisms.

That is probably what the Bank-with -no-name is doing. I would think they will be replacing SMS p/word verification with another, better (?) process.

Rgds,

Aitch.

Hiya Aitch...Well, this is now Thursday, and 'The Bank' have done NOTHING to help me with this 😈.

I am STILL locked out! EVEN my local branch haven't contacted me at all!

Why are these people doing this?

In all of my banking years, I have NEVER had a problem! Maybe I'm just lucky?

I have no idea what the outcome may be on this, but they are NOT doing themselves ANY favours!

Thank you again for your welcome and help...Ta muchly...🅱️⛾.

Hi Bryan,

Did you visit the branch and follow the procedure I messaged to you?

Kind regards,

Kim

Good evening to you Kim...

Yes, I DID visit the branch in Los Montesinos and was given the SAME answer: No telephone = NO access!

I then visited an abogado here in San Luis, of which finished DIABOLICALLY!

I prepared a written statement to present to the abogado, but failed to get past the receptionist!

SHE read my statement, and took it upon herself, that there was NO progress to be obtained.

I then exercised my opinion, to advise her, that this is my RIGHT/Freedom of choice AND against my human rights!

As I left the reception, she called out to me; 'DON'T COME BACK AGAIN'! I was flabbergasted with this response! I DID NOT DISGRACE MYSELF!

Kim, the nightmare continues! Thank you...🅱️😈.
