Then there will no doubt be EU austerity measures to comply with, same as happened with Greece, the list goes on and on.

That's by far the scariest part of this. If EU support isn't going to be a shared debt, the EU will cripple Spain for decades. As you say, a la Greece. Maybe they have learnt from the mistakes they made with Greece, but I doubt it. I love many European countries, Spain mostly (I plan to relocate there soon) but I'm no fan of the EU, but that's for another thread!

Hmmm, not sure entirely how that helps with my questions to you!

By my maths, if the €3.2tn is distributed based on population, then Spain will get about €330bn. Correct, or not?

At the best of times, my maths is poor, so happy to be put me right?

But, if I am right, if Spain is looking to get €330bn (assuming the deal is done) is that enough? I'd suggest not, not by a long shot.

And, given that any deal isn't on the basis of shared debt, what are your views on that? Is Spain the next Greece?

Wow, this has gone off in a direction not expected!

RayD: I don't understand you continue to references to the difference between the way the EU and the US present numbers, what has this got to do with the discussion you started and I'm trying to continue with you?

To recap: Is my maths correct? If the €3.2tn gets passed, does Spain stand to get about €330bn? If so, do you think this is enough? What are your views on any support not being on the basis of shared debt? Will this not just make Spain the next Greece?

I think this is about the third time I've asked you this now, in direct response to things you said to me. So I think it's reasonable to expect a reply.

Please move on from the zeros thing: In the context of this discussion, it's irrelevant.

And by the way, I don't feel abused. I do feel your general tone is quite condescending, but not abusive.

Really? You still want to play the zero game? F**k me!

OK, let's come at this another way then...

If the €3.2tn is spread out per capita, how much would you expect Spain to get? In billions. Feel free to give the figure in euros and pounds, if that get's you over your zero fetish.

Having a long term rental in Spain and not being resident is perfectly legal. Full stop. It has NOTHING, nada, zip, zero to do with residency. Neither in Spanish, nor in EU legislation.

The OP is not doing illegal things based on him renting accomodation for a long term.

RayD, did you miss my reply to you, or are you choosing to just ignore the hard questions now?
