Really...?

Is it also assumed that you've taken out Spanish residency? It does not suit some people to take out residency at this stage of their lives.

I've had so many negative comments when I say I'm a non resident.

When I first came across this forum I thought it was really good.   Such a pity it's got so partisan.

Perhaps there's another more welcoming and less judgemental  one somewhere where you don't have to be from the UK and a Spanish resident. Just because we speak English doesn't mean we are Brits.

Sorry if anyone is offended. Totally unintentional.

Bubsy, Stop it. Get a life.

Yes Bubsy you need to chill out a little. Tebo 53 is right. This is a very good forum. We are Dutch and Residents but do not feel in any way alienated on here. Dont forget you are not paying for the information on here, people are giving their advice for free.

I'd like to think all are welcome, the majority on here are guests here in Spain.

A UK friend of mine just had his DNA analysis results back. Mix of; welsh, irish, scottish, norwegian, and english/ northern european. Whilst he was obviously disappointed, not to have any major surprises, I'm sure he would feel welcome here :)

Is this forum for British expats with Residency in Spain only?

No, our forum is open to anyone no matter what their nationality or residency status. My only advice is for members to post in English as more people can reply and help as that is the website's primary language.

I am Romanian, I'm not sure if I am the only one here but, I feel good on this forum and the information here is very valuable. I have a property in Orihuela Cosat but I'm not a resident yet ... maybe when I retire ... I'll have a few more years there if the planes start flying again soon .. I never felt that the discussions I participated in are annoying or biased .. but I did not participate in many. I wish good health to all members of the forum and the resumption of normal life as soon as possible.

Adrian Emanoel.

There are a variety of nationalities on all these forums, with a variety of situations and experiences, trying to help each other..

I for instance am non-Eu, Australian in fact, with residencia and autonomos, so I have been through the 3rd country residencia  mill, that many Brits will in the future experience.

I too suggest that if you are seeking some help from forum members, do try and detail your situation so people wont waste their time, nor will you.

I love this forum I holiday in Benidorm which I also love if I could afford to move there I would. I am British and find this this brings me closer to Spain whilst this pandemic restricts travel and hope that my arrangements for end of August I am going to be able to do. Keep up the good work you are the highlight of my at the moment boring life.

Don't worry it's not exactly interesting here at the moment. Just a fair bit warmer :)
