I have a wise account (Transfer Wise) my question is do they Transfer large amounts ie. monies from the sale of UK property, and a good exchange rate?

I have just transferred all by Direct debits from Sabadell to Wise no probs and now not paying those extortionate fees.

Only probs i am having now is closing my Sabadell account.

But i will get there.

Did u have any probs convincing Spanish Utility companies to change to online option?.....did Wise issue an EU IBAN number?

Wise have a BE Iban number.

I did it all from Uk with no issues as i was concerned about water and electricity. electricity was easy just changed on line.

Water contacted them on line via there help email address and they sent me the direct debit form to complete.

Wise, Webb site gives you all the info you need office address and IBAN  they are based in Belgium (Brussels)

Emailed administrator with details and that has also gone through.

Just waiting to see if my solicitor as arrange some other things. Hes a pain.

So all good so far and no charges other than for transferring my money from Sabadell  a few euros.

Wise Webb site so easy to use.

£260.00 euros in charges last year from Sabadell.

Sorry i have also changed electricity provider to Bulb and that all went through OK as well.

I am keen to transfer my direct debits as my bank bankia is merging with caixa and they charge 14 euros per month. Did you have any issues with any of the companies - iberdrola, hidraqua, suma, etc ? Heard some people had issues with giving iban to hidraqua. What details did you give iban and swift address ?

Yes when you open your Wise account they give you every thing you need IBAN SWIFT and office address to open your direct debits no issues at all with iberdrola or HIhidraqua or my new electricity provider BULB.

Not sure about Suma as it is not due until November so will have to wait and see. but not worried as they wont cut you off or send in the bailiffs.

If you are paying Spanish utility bills electric / Agua / SUMA etc. 

You go to your WISE Account and look for Account details at the bottom of the page. 

There you have the choice of choosing different currencies- choose EURO account- there you can copy ALL the details needed to give to the Spanish service provider. 

I too have had to do this as the fees and service provided by La Caixa Bank were abysmal and extortionate, to say the least.

The hardest part is communicating with the Spanish service provider/s as there email addresses seem to never work!
