I don’t think it’s so much “getting around it”. I use wise all the time without charges for transfers to my Sabadell bank.

I understand Wise have an EU IBAN; Belgium I believe. This is the difference. Layman’s terms - transferring within the EU.

I’m sure someone will explain that with more detail 😉 Thank goodness for “Wise” is all I can say 🤪🥂

I've never been charged for transferring money through Wise from Barclays UK to my Sabadell account. When I do a transfer I put my money into the Wise bank (which has an EU account number) which is then exchanged into euros to forward to my Sabadell account. No charges from Sabadell as the money is in euros.

I've been transferring money through (Transferwise) Wise for around 8 years and always happy with the service.
