I have a persistent 4 legged creature (not sure if it's a rat or mouse) that has adopted my roof space as its home - I have had some renovations done recently and asked the Builders to look for any holes under tiles, etc where it might be gaining entry and they claim to have fillled anything they saw - but still the little bugger comes back - sleeping all day (and possibly nibbling my electric cabling up there) and leaves about midnight......returning 07.00.   I can hear it scrambling about and have laid traps (where I can reach), poison and poured cinnamon over where I suspect it's route is - to no avail!...................can anyone help?

I know there are Vermin specialists in Torrevieja but I'm a UK Pensioner on a tight budget who only visits 2-3 times a year and want a permanent solution!....................HELP!

Has it taken any of the poison? It may take a day or two to finish it off.

Put chocolate on the traps, not cheese.

Tried everything-it's impervious!

So it has taken the poison and it still lives?

Do the traps go off and it jumps clear?

We had the same problem where we used to live in the UK,  in the evening I could hear it running along in the loft, even  my husband who is deaf, we got the local council to come in and they layed trays, I was thinking it could be a squirrel or wood pigeon, or rats, but when he came back the tray had bot been touched there was no sign of anything, expected to find dead birds but nothing, its not a bird down the chimney presuming you have one,

I found this sleeping beauty in our mop bucket a couple of weeks ago, needless to say it won’t wake up again😉

We have same problem, had for several years now and like you visit twice a year for 3 months. Put loads of poison up (we have suspended ceilings and the noise of scurrying on the plaster tiles is horrendous. Neither of us wants to get into loft where some of original old ceilings are broken and where we are, unsure of who we can get out, don't even know how they,re getting in. I sympathise with you, it spoils our visits and I find it so distressing.

Good luck to getting rid

Regards

Pauline
