Hi all
Is it common that when insuring your home in Spain that the insurers won’t cover for subsidence ? This is what I was told yesterday buy an English insurer who covered holiday homes

Some may, some may not. It all depends what the general conditions say, usually a booklet of some 1xx pages which nobody reads in detail, and instead relies on the sympatic agent. Some companies will not pay if the object is not permanently inhabited for more than 7 days, others require a second lock in the main entrance door, and many more traps to avoid paying you.

Please can if possible can you give me a Building Insurance Company that I can take out Insurance for my holiday home in Los Sltos, which I will be new to that area.
