Hi m8  I would rent till you find your ideal location , hard work to buy in spain especially at your age in life , just enjoy retirement,  villamartin near la zenia , great location for both airports,  brilliant for shops and local transportation,  big expat communitie, lots of clubs etc , lots of people do airport runs , great for golfing cycling and other sports .

Hi property now has to be licenced before it can be rented. This ensures a certain standard and security. No one should now be renting without one and should display licence number on the ad

Hi there if you want to rent a nice place here is a wonderful young English lady who will help you. They are in the La Zenia.telephone 966773026Comaskey estate agent.

Cabo Roig, La Zenia are wonderful. Playa Flamenca also full of friendly people. It is always best to rent. Soppy the young lady does all what you will need to rent as well all the legality involved. If they cannot help you

, they will put you in touch with people who can help you. If you tell them Luna recommended, they will help you even more. I hope you will be very happy in Costa Orihuela if you move here. People who drive you cheaply to and from airport are the following people 3 sharing €15 each 4 sharing €12 each. 0034667314676. They also do renting. Have a good life Lun

Torrevieja Taxis if you email them they collect you from inside the airport terminal and drive you to your property they even help you with your cases and they will do your return €55 one way we use them all the time to Torrevieja I think the info you have been given regarding Playa Flamamca area is spot on walking distance for most things but a bit further than us so more in a taxi we like where we are but we drive good luck and enjoy x

Hi Marcia, we have a holiday home in La Florida which is near Playa Flamemca and La Zenia, I think you would like it there as it has shops, and many restaurants and a great bowling club at the Emerald Isle which has a great community, there are lots of nationalities here also. Hope all goes well for you.

Just returned to England in October, lived in Spain for two years before that. I would not recommend moving there, because you will have to become a resident to have full medical care (this is a difficult process if you don't have Spanish) also it gets very lonely in the evening's if u are alone. I myself have a little Spanish but found the Spanish rude and unfriendly and no one goes out of there way to be helpful, you have to do everything yourself. I rented myself and thanked God I had made that decision, when. the time came to leave (I have friends who are stuck as they own their property) and their is a glut of properties on the market. The best thing to do is stay in Spain in their off season October to March and the rest off the year at home. Another problem I had is the pavements there are frankly dangerous (I had two falls) and about eight nearlys and I am very sprightly person who walks my dog three times a day.

I wish someone had given me more of the cons before I made the move, and that is what I am doing here.
