Pete, thank you, Iā€™ve been on several search signs and enquire about the ones we like, noticed a lot are with multi agents which got confusing, without scrolling them all several times, it was hard to tell which exact ones where with same agent (if that makes sense)is each ref code unique to each agent ?, youā€™re right have had a few come back saying oh thatā€™s sold but we have... which like you said try to entice you in. I have two that are in regular contact Jaqueline from solerberna real estate and inter property sales Nigel wondering if anyone has had dealing with these companies ? Ahh see what I mean mind blowing lol x

HI Sharon - all the advice on this Forum is very helpful - I visited Torrevieja twice on viewing trips and bought during my 2nd visit - everything organised - NIE, Bank Account, Contract, Notart appmnts etc through Alegria Estate Agents in Torrevieja - a very stress free but exciting purchase - that was 3yrs ago and I'm so happy with my Holiday home.  If I can help at all just drop me a line

Good Luck (not that you'll need it!)

Linda

We used Algeria too, they did everything as 20kiki has stated - we visited the area on the Monday, viewed approx 30 properties with various agents, then put an offer in on the Thursday for a property via Algeria - which was agreed - all the legal stuff banks, NIE etc done on the Friday morning! We flew home in the afternoon and returned about 6 weeks later to collect the key - Algeria even collected us from the airport! Brilliant service all round, highly recommend them!

Iā€™m in a similar position. I went early this week for a few days viewing. I also have a lawyer and signed a power of attorney enabling them to get my NIE, open bank accounts and deal with any purchase I might make. Iā€™ve just booked flights to go back next week to view some more. I didnā€™t feel pressured by the agents and viewed about 13 properties in 2 days. On the next trip Iā€™m narrowing it down to the area I like and a few houses Iā€™ve seen already and a couple of new ones. My tip is to hire a car and drive all around the areas day and night.

I loved the area and am going back again. Iā€™ve changed from wanting to stay in Villamartin to now concentrating on La Zenia or Playa Flamenca.

Good luck on your trip.

I went out to Santa Pola in mid April found the house we loved thru a local agent went back in may for 3 days and did everything in that time , bank, NIE , got the keys had a quick look in new house then flew home !! Was really straightforward, the said agent has now became a really good friend of ours and this was 4 years ago !
